Raymond K. Phillips
Raymond K. Phillips, 55, of 125 Walnut Street, passed away Friday (May 9, 2014) at UPMC Hamot.
Born August 20, 1958, in Pasadena, TX, he was a son of Wayne and Jan McMinn Phillips. On March 30, 1984, in McArthur, OH, he married Diane Smathers who survives.
Mr. Phillips was a head sawyer for over thirty years, most recently working for Zuzek’s Lumber Mill. Currently he had been employed by Kane Lawn and Garden.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of Kane and his parents of Akron, OH, are two sons, Joseph Phillips and Daniel Phillips both of Kane; a daughter, Heather Gilmore of Kane; two granddaughters, Gaby McCord and Emily Gilmore; two grandsons, Sean Phillips and Mikey Phillips; a brother, Darrell Phillips of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Kelley Blankenship and Jana Lewellyn, both of Akron; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A Graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
