Emma Jean Carlson
Emma Jean Carlson, 84, of 215 Park Avenue, passed away Friday (April 25, 2014) at Kane Community Hospital.
Born February 26, 1930, in James City, she was a daughter of Harry and Hazel Smith Bouch. She was married to Walter N. Carlson who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carlson, a homemaker, was a member of Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Surviving are three daughters, Toni (Jim) Morgan of Greenville, Deborah (Bob) Nelson and Alice Dougherty both of Kane; four sons, Walter (Lori) Carlson, John (Melinda) Carlson, Thomas (Missy) Carlson, all of Kane and Wade (Leanne) Carlson of Tonawanda, NY; two brothers, Edward Bouch of James City and Harry J. Bouch; and a sister, Pat Johnson of Kane. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Bouch and Richard Bouch; two sisters, Jerry Royer and Lois Weidenhoff; and her long-time companion, Don Cooley.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Waterman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
