2014 Congressional High School Art Competition

Submission Deadline: 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2014

BELLEFONTE – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson, PA-5, announced the 2014 Congressional Art Competition, which aims to showcase the artistic talents of high school students from Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District. The competition is open to students, grades 9-12, who are residents of the 5th District.

Students may submit their entries by dropping off their artwork at one of Rep. Thompson’s district offices no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2014, at one of the following addresses:

The 5th District’s 2014 Congressional Art Competition will take place in May at the Winkler Gallery of Fine Art in DuBois, PA, where all artwork will be displayed for public viewing before being judged by an independent panel composed of members of the local art community. The winning artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol, alongside other pieces chosen from students around the country, for one year.
