Pitt-Bradford welcomes R&B musician Denzell Ward

BRADFORD, Pa. – Buffalo, N.Y., native Denzell Ward will give a free Noon Tunes concert Feb. 13 as part of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Spectrum arts series.

His concert will take place at noon in the Studio Theater located in Blaisdell Hall.

The rhythm and blues artist and session musician’s influences include Sam Cook, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Rick James and James Brown.

Joining Ward will be an exciting group of veteran seasoned musicians and members of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, including Nick Veltri, bass; Pet Holquin, drums; Nick Salamone, sax; Ed Bores, guitar; and John Riggi, guitar and vocals.

The show is being held in conjunction with Black History Month activities at Pitt-Bradford.
