Sacherich, Frank R.

Frank R. “Sonny” Sacherich, 72, of 549 Smithfield Avenue, Kane, died Tuesday morning, October 8, 2013 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where he had recently resided.
Born August 18, 1941 in Penn Hills, he was the son of Frank J. and Hilma S. Carlson Sacherich.
A peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army for nine years, Mr. Sacherich later worked for Labor Union #603 in Erie in construction, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kane as well.
Surviving are his daughter Kimberly (Randy) Allen of Kane, two sisters, Esther (Dennis) Rockwell of Kane and MaryJane (Dominick) Dagustine of Emporium, and grandchildren Amanda and Barry Allen.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, are a sister Ann Westerberg, a brother Carl Sacherich, and Frank’s companion of 31 years, Nancy Welsh.
Friends may call on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc., at which time a service will be held there with the rev. Chad Troup, pastor of the 1st Church of God in Kane, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave., Bradford, PA 16701.
